Stumbled across by coincidence while foraging for botanicals, I discovered a clearing in a local woodland with a thick carpet of wild strawberries. Using a wicker basket, I gently took several handfuls of the strawberries and left the rest for woodland creatures. Once home and sorted out on my work desk, I carefully separated each one and put them in our drying room. After several weeks, the delicate wild strawberries were ready to be preserved. The pendant measures 12.5mm and is lightweight. I then suspended this sweet Summertime pendant from a sterling silver chain, in a length of your choice (16,18 or 24 inches). This pendant is the ideal keepsake for anyone who loves to eat fresh fruit from the forest and wishes to carry a tiny piece of Scottish summertime with them everywhere they go.
