Mead is also known as the nectar of the gods. It is also rumoured to have aphrodisiac properties and was historically presented to newlyweds to enjoy what we now call their “honeymoon”.


You can make Mead by fermenting honey with water. It has been brewed and drank around the world for over 4000 years.


Moniack Mead has a lovely, lingering and smooth flavour with elements of caramel and fermented honey.

A great accompaniment to have with strong cheeses or full-flavoured casseroles.

Who knew mead was soooo good?
